Brandon Russell

Brandon Russell had little choice in the matter when it came to being a craftsman and carpenter. Growing up, this North Carolina and true Southern boy’s father made sure he was paying attention. “The man could build or fix anything,” Brandon says as he thinks back on where his unique talents began to take shape and then humbly follows with, “what an amazing artist... much better than I’ll ever be!” Though that may or may not be true, one thing is for certain— Brandon Russell is the real deal.

After college, a girlfriend suggested he try his hand at modeling. Contracts from Guess, Nautica, After Hours, Jeffery and Macy’s— just to name a few, sent him packing to work and live in New York, Miami, L.A and Atlanta. After years in modeling, Brandon returned to Charlotte and started his own remodeling company. From complete design transformations and custom woodwork to original painted murals, Brandon began to use his unique gifts professionally.

But in 2007, Brandon landed a job as the lead carpenter on the beloved TLC show Trading Spaces. This is the show that “started it all” when it comes to the home improvement television. And this is the show that has proven to be a dream come true for Brandon. For the first time in his life, Brandon made a living doing something that combined his good looks, his ability to create and build, a chance to let his outgoing personality shine through and all while bringing positive change to people’s lives!
